Rio Copa Toastmasters are now in the Maricopa Employee Resource Guide! While our club is not limited to the staff and students of Maricopa County Community Colleges, we are a great resource for career advancement.  Through the Toastmasters Communication and Leadership Program you will gain confidence as well as communication and leadership skills!

Program Description:

Toastmasters Communication and Leadership program assists people from all backgrounds to learn to speak effectively, conduct a meeting, manage a department or business, lead, delegate, and motivate.

The Toastmasters program exposes each participant to a wide range of communication experiences:

  • Each new Toastmaster receives a New Member Kit that contains the Communication and Leadership manual, orientation materials, and additional skill improvement resources.
  • A variety of assigned speeches help the participant develop competency in areas such as organization, voice inflection and persuasiveness.
  • Members learn to think on their feet by delivering short impromptu speeches.
  • Each Toastmaster receives constructive speech evaluation after giving a prepared speech.
  • Upon completion of the basic Communication and Leadership program, new member receives the Competent Toastmaster Award.
  • Side benefits can include improved communication skills, presentation skills, and leadership skills for increased recognition and promotion opportunities.
 

Available to:

All Maricopa Employees.

The group meets weekly at Rio Salado. Membership fee is $33* bi-annually for local and International membership.
