Each year Toastmaster clubs that have been a 'Distinguished Club' or better for three consecutive years or more  become members of the '3D' club.  Rio Copa Toastmasters have becomed a member this club for the first time.  This is a great accomplishment since Rio Copa Toastmasters was formed barely over three years old!  Rio Copa met the requirements to be a Distinguished club the first year and have been President's Distinguished since.

The Toastmasters Distinguished Club Program encourages clubs to focus on the educational needs of the members and the administrative needs of the club by setting 10 club goals that the club should try to meet:

Educational goals for members of the club:

  1. Two Competent Communicators
  2. Two more Competent Communicators
  3. One Advanced Communicator Bronze, Silver, or Gold
  4. One more Advanced Communicator Bronze, Silver, or Gold
  5. One Competent Leader, Advanced Leader Bronze, Advanced Leader Silver, or Distinguished Toastmaster
  6. One more Competent Leader, Advanced Leader Bronze, Advanced Leader Silver, or Distinguished Toastmaster
Membership building and retention goals:
  1. Four new members
  2. Four more new members
Officer training goals:
  1. Minimum of four club officers trained during each of two training periods
Club administration goals:
  1. One semiannual membership report and one club officer list submitted on time

5 of 10 = Distinguished
