 Amy
'Jet' Magsamen joined Rio Copa Toastmasters in November 2007. As a
writer and photographer she wanted to improver her presentation and
speaking skills. She actually completed her 5th speech in January but
it wasn't noticed until JD took over as acting Vice President
Education. Amy has been a leader in the club as our Vice President
Public Relations and has served on several committees. She took 2nd
place in our club International Speech contest recently with an
interesting solution for un-used vacation time... give it to her!
Amy was awarded her 1/2 CC Ribbon on March 19,2008.
Rico Burton joined our club a short three months ago! During that time
she's been on fire doing speeches. In March she expressed interest in
competing in the Toastmasters International Speech Contest and took 1st
place! That meant she had to compete 6 speeches by the date
of the Area Speech contest. She completed her 5th speech on March 19th and did speech number 6 the following week! We look forward to seeing her compete at the R4 Area Speech Contest on April 5th.
